Shimla (The Uttam Hindu): Light snowfall was reported in the higher reaches of Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. Despite this, temperatures across the state remained above normal, while most other regions witnessed dry and sunny weather.

Intermittent snowfall was recorded in select high-altitude areas, including the Shinkula Pass. However, the majority of the state experienced clear conditions, with both day and night temperatures staying a few degrees higher than average.

According to the Meteorological Department, very light precipitation was limited only to higher hills, and no widespread rain or snowfall occurred anywhere in the state. Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing prolonged dry conditions, especially in the mid and lower hill regions, where the weather remained stable.

The weather department has forecast generally dry and clear weather across the state over the next 24 hours, with only a possibility of very light snowfall in higher-altitude areas. Authorities have advised people to rely only on official advisories and to exercise caution while travelling in high-altitude regions.
