New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Air India CEO Campbell Wilson has stepped down from his position before completing his tenure, which was set to run until July 2027.
Wilson, who joined the Tata Group-led airline in 2022 from Singapore Airlines, will continue during his six-month notice period. His exit comes as the airline faces financial challenges and regulatory scrutiny over safety and operations.
The Air India board is expected to fast-track the search for a new CEO as part of efforts to strengthen the airline’s turnaround strategy. The carrier has been dealing with issues such as delayed aircraft deliveries, safety concerns and ongoing losses.
