Three Vande Bharat Express Trains Inaugurated by PM Modi in Bengaluru
Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off three more Vande Bharat Express trains from Bengaluru. Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune Vande Bharat Express from Bengaluru Railway Station through video conferencing.
Along with this, he also inaugurated KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi and Vaishnodevi Katra-Amritsar Vande Bharat trains. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. At the same time, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari were present at Nagpur Railway Station.
With this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro. Under the Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project, the Yellow Line has been constructed from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra, which is more than 19 kilometers long. There are 16 stations on the Yellow Line. With the opening of the Yellow Line, the operational network of the Metro in Bangalore has increased to more than 96 kilometers. The cost of the Yellow Line is approximately Rs 7160 crore. Prime Minister Modi has also traveled in the Metro after the inauguration of the Yellow Line. He met the students traveling in the Metro.
The journey will be completed in 45 minutes
About 8 lakh people will benefit from the Yellow Line. This will also help in dealing with the problem of traffic jam in Bangalore. Usually people take 1.5 to 2 hours to travel on this route, but with the help of the metro, this journey can be completed in just 45 minutes.
