Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Nitin Navin, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has resigned from his position as a Member of the Legislative Assembly after being elected to the Rajya Sabha. Following his resignation, he shared an emotional message addressed to the people of the Bankipur constituency and Bihar.

In a post on X, he expressed deep gratitude to party workers and the public, stating that his bond with them will always remain unbreakable. He said their continued support has given him strength, inspiration, and guidance throughout his journey.

Navin recalled that after the sudden demise of his father, Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha, in January 2006, the party gave him the opportunity to contest a by-election from Patna West. He was elected on April 27, 2006, marking the beginning of his political career.

He highlighted that over the past 20 years, he has worked with dedication to develop his constituency and serve the people of Bihar. He added that being elected five consecutive times reflects the trust and confidence people placed in him.

Navin also stated that he learned valuable lessons from senior legislators across both the ruling party and the opposition. He emphasized that many key issues were resolved with the help of feedback and suggestions from the public and party workers.

He expressed gratitude to Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar for giving him the opportunity to serve as a minister in the Bihar government, where he contributed to implementing important policies and decisions.

Referring to his resignation from the Bankipur seat, he said that in his new role, he will continue to work with full commitment for the development of Bihar. He reaffirmed that his relationship with the people and party workers will remain strong and enduring.

He concluded by stating that he will continue striving toward the vision of a “Developed India” and “Developed Bihar” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by 2047.
