New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There was a commotion at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, on Saturday morning when a note related to the possibility of a bomb in Indigo's flight from Kolkata to Shillong was found.

According to reports, Flight 6E-7304 was scheduled to depart from Kolkata at around 9:15 am. During boarding, a crew member found a handwritten note in the plane's lavatory warning of a bomb inside. Security agencies were immediately alerted upon receiving this information.

As a precautionary measure, all passengers were immediately evacuated from the aircraft. The aircraft was then taken to the airport's isolation bay, where extensive screening was initiated as per standard security procedures (SOPs).

According to the airport director, all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of passengers and the aircraft. The aircraft is being thoroughly searched by security teams and a bomb squad, and the entire incident is under investigation.

The incident briefly created tension at the airport, though authorities declared the situation under control and urged passengers to remain patient. Officials clarified that passenger safety is the top priority and further action will be decided only after the investigation is complete.

At present, the investigation process of the aircraft is going on and the concerned agencies are closely examining every aspect, so that any possible threat can be completely neutralized.

Earlier on January 30th, an IndiGo flight returning to Delhi from Kuwait received a bomb threat, forcing the flight to make an emergency landing in Ahmedabad. It was reported that 186 people, including 180 passengers, were on board.
