New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): : GAIL (India) Limited launched a special lighting project, "Bright Horizon 2026." The initiative aims to illuminate the company's iconic Jubilee Tower with modern lighting technology and further enhance its identity. The project utilized advanced projection mapping techniques.

Jubilee Tower is a 21-story building, rising approximately 120 meters in height. It was inaugurated on April 3, 2014. Its distinctive circular design and striking exterior give it a distinctive identity. The tower is clearly visible from the DND Flyway, Noida Bypass Flyover, Barapullah Flyover, and the Delhi Metro's Blue Line. At the time of its inauguration, it was the tallest building in the vicinity and attracted considerable attention.

Over the past ten years, the construction of several taller buildings nearby had somewhat diminished Jubilee Tower's visual identity. Under the "Bright Horizon" project, GAIL decided to preserve the tower's distinctive identity and enhance its evening and nighttime lighting. Previous lighting proposals were made in 2016 and 2019, but were not implemented due to various reasons. In 2025, the project was successfully implemented again with thorough planning and management support.

Projection-based lighting is a specialized technology, so GAIL engaged an expert consultant. The team visited locations where such technology had already been successfully installed. Live demonstrations of the new technology were also conducted to ensure the correct system and its quality.

The contract for this project was awarded on October 13, 2025, with a target completion date of three months. With careful planning and cross-departmental cooperation, the work was completed in just two and a half months.

The lighting system features state-of-the-art 3-chip DLP projectors with a capacity of 43,000 lumens. These are equipped with high-quality servers and a 200 kVA UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), ensuring uninterrupted system operation even during power outages. These weather-resistant projectors are mounted on four specially reinforced structures that can withstand winds of up to 180 kilometers per hour. The entire system is covered by a seven-year warranty and annual maintenance.

Through "Ujjwal Kshitij," GAIL demonstrates its commitment to strengthening its identity and brand through modern technology and improved infrastructure. This initiative provides a new energy and radiance to the company's iconic architectural landmark.
