India playing key role in global development, says PM Modi before India-AI Impact Summit
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The four-day "India AI Impact Summit 2026" will begin in New Delhi on Monday, with leading figures from around the world participating. Prime Minister Narendra Modi proudly said that this event showcases the potential of our country's youth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on the social media platform X on Monday, "It is a matter of immense pride for us that people from all over the world are coming to India for the 'India AI Impact Summit 2026'. This also showcases the potential of our country's youth. This occasion is also a testament to the rapid progress our country is making in the field of science and technology and is making a significant contribution to global development."
PM Modi has also shared the culture proverb. He wrote, "In charity, in austerity, in purity, in knowledge, in humility, one should not be astonished, for the earth is full of gems. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the "India AI Impact Summit 2026" at 5 pm on Monday at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The event will be held from February 16 to 20. The "India AI Impact Summit 2026" is the first global artificial intelligence summit held in a developing country. More than 100 countries are participating through seven rounds or working groups. It reflects broad global participation in shaping responsible and inclusive AI. The summit is based on three principles: "People, Planet, and Progress," which define the fundamental principles for global cooperation on AI.
