New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – According to the latest intelligence input, Pakistan-based terrorists are plotting to flood Punjab with drugs, weapons, and ammunition. At a recent meeting in Lahore, it was decided that the banned organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) would lead this operation. Under this plan, drugs, weapons, and ammunition will be supplied to Punjab on a large scale.

According to intelligence officials, this will help Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI to reactivate the Khalistan movement in Punjab, while the remaining consignment will be delivered to Jammu and Kashmir.

Intelligence Bureau officials say that pressure on the ISI from Khalistani elements operating in Canada and other countries is increasing because their plans in Punjab are failing. Central agencies and the Punjab Police have so far effectively prevented these elements from gaining a foothold in the state. One official stated that Punjab's youth are clearly rejecting the idea of a separate "Khalistan nation." Many attempts to radicalize youth have failed, largely due to the role of the state's elders, who have openly spoken about the adverse consequences of this movement.

The BKI believes that when ideology isn't working, Punjab's youth should be recruited through money. A meeting in Lahore's Gulberg area discussed in detail the need to adopt a new and aggressive strategy in Punjab. According to officials, Punjab already has a serious drug problem. The meeting decided to attract youth to the Khalistan movement through the lure of drugs and money, as ideological support is failing.

Intelligence agencies have also learned that the BKI has stored large quantities of drugs, weapons, and ammunition in warehouses provided by the ISI. These BKI bases are located in Lahore, Islamabad, and Faizabad. Large consignments have arrived at these warehouses in the past few months, and efforts are underway to smuggle them to India.

Recently, it has been observed that Khalistani elements are not receiving grassroots support in Punjab. However, their activities internationally have been relatively successful. Terrorist organizations such as Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) are actively organizing so-called referendums and spreading hatred against India through social media. These internationally active elements have now begun questioning the ISI as to why their operations in India are not being expanded. According to officials, these elements need Pakistan's support to intensify their activities in India.
