Mahamandaleshwar Narsinghanand stirs controversy, says ‘mother who gives birth to son is like a serpent’

Muzaffarnagar (The Uttam Hindu)- Hindu leader Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati is once again in the headlines for his statements. During a program organized at Shri Shyama Shyam Mandir, he said that "The mother who gives birth to only one son is like a serpent." He is being severely criticized after this controversial comment.

Commenting on mothers who have only one son,

Yati Narasimhanand said that nowadays people stop expanding their family after having one son and one daughter, while this is a sin. “It is said in the Vedas that having a son is better than not having a son,” he claimed. He further said that “the mother who has given birth to only one son gave birth to the son for her own pleasure but in the end she becomes his destroyer. Just like a serpent eats up its eggs, the mother of a son leaves him alone.”

Along with this, on the recent violence in Nepal, he said that the government there is facing the consequences of the oppression of Hindus. He said that the attempt to forcibly make the country secular has infuriated the public. On Rahul Gandhi raising the issue of vote theft in Bihar, he quipped that "In politics, leaders keep barking like street dogs, be it Rahul Gandhi or anyone else."
