Major update on Ajit Pawar aircraft crash, process to extract data from black box begins
Pune (The Uttam Hindu): A major update has emerged on Thursday in the case related to the aircraft crash involving Ajit Pawar. The official process of extracting data from the black box of the crashed aircraft has now begun. Investigating agencies are examining the incident seriously, and the information stored in the black box is being considered crucial for the probe.
According to the latest details, efforts are underway to retrieve vital technical data and flight records from the black box. This data is expected to play a decisive role in identifying the exact cause of the crash. The black box contains key information such as the aircraft’s final movements, technical condition, and communication between the pilot and air traffic control. Analysis of these details will help determine whether the accident occurred due to a technical failure or any other reason.
After the data recovery process is completed, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is expected to release a detailed report. The report is likely to clearly outline the causes of the accident, the sequence of events, and responsible factors.
It may be noted that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had earlier written to Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, demanding a thorough and impartial investigation into the exact causes of the crash. The letter also urged immediate corrective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. The tragic accident claimed the lives of senior leader Ajit Pawar and five others, following which the state government sought clarity and action from the Centre.
In response, the Union Minister assured that the central government is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and that aviation safety standards will be strengthened based on the investigation findings. The Maharashtra government has also assured full cooperation in the ongoing probe.
