New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The journey of motherhood is special for every woman, but it also brings several physical and emotional changes. Practicing light yoga daily can help make this phase smoother and more comfortable. Yoga strengthens the body and keeps the mind calm, allowing you to enjoy this beautiful journey better.

During pregnancy, women often face issues like back pain, fatigue, lack of sleep, and stress. Spending some time each day on simple exercises can be very beneficial. You can start with basic movements like gently rotating the neck, moving shoulders, and light leg exercises. These small practices help keep the body active and reduce stiffness.

You can then move on to simple yoga poses like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Sukhasana. These poses help maintain balance and strengthen muscles. If you feel tired, practicing Shavasana can provide deep relaxation and relieve fatigue.

Breathing exercises like Pranayama are also important. Techniques such as deep breathing, Nadi Shodhan, and Bhramari help calm the mind and reduce stress. They also improve sleep quality and promote positivity. Practicing meditation for 10–15 minutes daily can further enhance mental peace and create a deeper emotional connection with your baby.

The most important thing is to listen to your body while practicing yoga. If you feel any discomfort or pain, stop immediately. Always consult a doctor or a certified yoga expert before starting your routine to ensure safety during pregnancy.
