Pakistani spy arrested in Rajasthan, links to terrorist Shahzad Bhatti surface
Accused allegedly used social media to share photos and videos and is suspected to be linked with terrorist Shahzad Bhatti.

Sriganganagar (The Uttam Hindu): In a major crackdown, police in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district have arrested a 19 year old youth for alleged anti national activities and links with Pakistan based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. The accused, identified as Akashdeep, a resident of Kesarisinghpur currently living in Chak Kera, was reportedly in continuous contact with the terrorist through social media platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp.
According to police, the accused carried out recce of several sensitive and crowded locations on instructions from across the border. He allegedly recorded videos of these places and shared them with handlers in Pakistan in exchange for money. A mobile phone recovered from his possession revealed multiple pieces of evidence including chats, voice messages and communication with numbers using the +92 country code.
Investigators also found that the accused used artificial intelligence to create fake images of himself with the terrorist and circulated them on social media. During questioning, he admitted to conducting surveillance in areas across Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh and Ambala, and sharing detailed information including routes and locations via WhatsApp.
Police suspect his possible connection to recent recoveries of explosives such as RDX and IEDs in Ambala that were allegedly sent from Pakistan using drones. The accused is being intensively interrogated and efforts are underway to identify and trace others linked to the network.
