Railway gift to passengers: 3 Amrit Bharat and 4 new passenger trains launched ahead of festivals

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): In view of the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, Indian Railways has announced the arrival of seven new trains for Bihar. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary flagged off these trains at a ceremony in Patna today. This initiative is expected to make travel easier, faster, and more convenient for millions of passengers traveling home during the festive season.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary expressed his happiness on this occasion by posting on X. He wrote, "Bihar's rail connectivity has received a new boost. Today, the people of Bihar have been blessed with seven new trains, including three Amrit Bharat trains and four passenger trains."

He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar's railway budget, which was previously only ₹1,000 crore, has now increased tenfold to ₹10,000 crore. He said that this reflects PM Modi's visionary approach to the state's overall development, which will benefit the people of the state.

Three new Amrit Bharat Express trains

* Train No. 15293/15294 (Muzaffarpur-Charlapalli): This weekly Amrit Bharat Express will run via Hajipur, Patliputra, Ara, Buxar, Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Nagpur and Kazipet.

* Train No. 19623/19624 (Madar-Darbhanga): This weekly Amrit Bharat Express will run via Kamtaul, Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kanpur and Jaipur.

* Train No. 15133/15134 (Chhapra-Anand Vihar): This Amrit Bharat Express will run biweekly and will reach Anand Vihar via Siwan, Thawe, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Aishbagh (Lucknow) and Kanpur.

Four new passenger trains (6 days a week):

* Train No. 75271/75272 (Nawada-Patna-Nawada DEMU): This train will run via Sheikhpura, Barbigha, Bihar Sharif, and Punpun.

* Train No. 75273/75274 (Islampur-Patna-Islampur DEMU): This train will run via Punpur, Daniyawan and Hilsa.

* Train No. 53201/53202 (Patna-Buxar-Patna Fast Passenger): This train will run via Danapur and Ara.

* Train No. 53203/53204 (Jhajha-Danapur-Jhajha Fast Passenger): This train will run via Jamui, Kiul, Mokama and Fatuha.
