Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s health deteriorates after exposure to cold weather
Prayagraj (The Uttam Hindu): Worrying news has emerged regarding the health of Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati. His health has deteriorated due to prolonged exposure to the harsh winter. It is being reported that the cold wave and exposure to the open sky have affected him, resulting in his illness.
Followers are angry over lack of medical care
Surprisingly, despite reports of his deteriorating health, no doctor or medical team has yet examined him. This delay in treatment has caused deep anger among Shankaracharya's followers and supporters. Supporters say that given his age and the severity of the weather, he urgently needs medical attention. Currently, no official medical bulletin has been issued regarding his health, nor has any statement been made by the administration, making the severity of his condition unclear. Followers are constantly demanding that the administration send a team of doctors to conduct an examination.
There is a dispute going on with the fair administration
It is noteworthy that during the Magh Mela being held on the sands of Sangam in Prayagraj, tensions remain high between Shankaracharya and the administration. The issue has escalated politically since the uproar on Mauni Amavasya. The fair authority has issued two notices to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, to which he has responded. Despite this, Shankaracharya remains firm on his stance and is unwilling to back down. He has challenged the fair administration, stating that he will respond to every notice. Recently, he also retorted to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's statement, while Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya appealed for his cooperation.
