Tantric used fear of jinn to exploit women, eight people allegedly killed
West Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Shocking revelations are emerging daily in the sensational case of three bodies found inside a car in the Peeragarhi area under West Vihar East police station limits. During interrogation, the accused tantrik, Kamruddin, has been found involved not only in murder but also in sexual exploitation of women and running an interstate fraud network. Police said the accused targeted families across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan by luring them with claims of “meeting a jinn” and “sudden wealth.” He allegedly identified a tall and attractive woman from the family, claimed she was chosen by a jinn, took her alone into a room and sexually assaulted her. He reportedly threatened victims, saying the jinn would contact them invisibly and warned of serious consequences if the ritual was not completed or disclosed.
Shocking evidence found in mobile forensic probe
According to Outer District Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma, forensic examination of the mobile phone of deceased woman Laxmi revealed suspicious photographs of several women and young girls. In these images, women were seen sitting with open hair during rituals and holding papers containing personal details. Police believe this points to a large network and the possibility of many more victims.
Accused confesses to eight murders
Police sources said Kamruddin has confessed to killing eight people so far. These include the recent Peeragarhi case as well as incidents from Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan. The Delhi Police is coordinating with police in other states to trace the full extent of the network. The accused is currently on five-day police remand.
Sulphas and sleeping pills mixed in laddoos
Investigations revealed that laddoos given to the victims—Randhir, Shiv Naresh and Laxmi—in the Peeragarhi case were laced with sulphas (aluminium phosphide) and a heavy dose of sleeping pills. Sulphas is a banned pesticide that can be used only with special permission. Police are now searching for the supplier in Firozabad who allegedly provided the poison. A special team has been sent to conduct raids there.
Posed as miracle healer and surgeon to cheat people
The accused allegedly posed as a miracle healer and a doctor capable of performing surgery without stitches, misleading people into believing he could cure serious illnesses using tantric powers. He reportedly charged around ₹7,000 per person. Police said money earned through fraud was used to acquire benami properties, including plots and a grand marriage hall in Firozabad. Delhi Police has initiated proceedings to attach these properties so that assets acquired through crime can be seized. Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to identify more victims and associates linked to the network.
