Big travel alert: 56 Punjab-bound trains cancelled for four months; Vaishno Devi Express affected
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Due to dense smog and fog in various states of North India in the coming days, it has been decided to cancel 56 trains from the first week of December to March. Of these, 22 trains pass through Jalandhar and Jalandhar Cantt. The Railways began notifying passengers two months ago.
Passengers, please note! 56 trains to Punjab cancelled for four months, including the Vaishno Devi Express: Among the cancelled trains are Garib Rath Express (12207, 12208) from December 9 to February 24, Yoga Nagari Jammu Tawi Express (14606-14605) from December 7 to February 22, Lal Kuan-Amritsar Express (14615 and 14616) from December 6 to January 28, Janseva Express (14617 and 14618) from December 3 to March 2.
Kalka to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express (14503 and 14504) from December 2 to February 28, Nangal Dam Express (14505 and 14506) from December 1 to February 28, Amritsar Chandigarh Express (14541 and 14542) from December 1 to February 28.
Amritsar Ajmer Express (19611 and 19614) has been cancelled from December 5 to March 1, Akal Takht Express (12317 and 12318) from December 7 to February 24, Durgiana Express (12357 and 12358) from December 6 to February 28 and Intercity Express (14681 and 14682) from December 1 to March 1.
