Maa Vaishno Devi Devotees Rejoice: New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Train Halts at Jalandhar Cantt

New Delhi/Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu) : New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express will stop at Jalandhar Cantt station. The residents of Jalandhar were demanding for a long time that New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express should be stopped at Jalandhar station so that devotees from Jalandhar and nearby areas including Hoshiarpur, Nakodar, Kapurthala can take advantage of going to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in less time, which was fulfilled today. A letter has been issued by the Railway Board, according to which train numbers 22439 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and 22440 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will now stop at Jalandhar Cantt station.

Train No 22439 New Delhi - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will arrive Jalandhar Cantt station at 10:04 am and depart at 10:06 am. Train No 22440 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra - New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will now halt at Jalandhar Cantt station. Bharat Express will now arrive Jalandhar Cantt station at 6:51 am and depart at 6:53 am. Due to halt at Jalandhar Cantt station, train no 22439 will arrive Bhogpur station (interchange point) of Jammu division with a delay of 05 minutes and train no 22440 will arrive Shanewal station (interchange point) of Ambala division with a delay of 5 minutes. After halt, timings of train 22439/22440 will have to be changed as per Jammu division and Ambala division timetable.
