Wedding return turns tragic as Scorpio crashes into tree, four youths killed

Sonipat (The Uttam Hindu): Four young men travelling in a Scorpio were killed and two others seriously injured in a horrific road accident in Sonipat, Haryana, late Friday evening. The men were returning from a wedding in Rohtak. On the way, their Scorpio lost control and struck a roadside tree. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the vehicle was completely damaged.


Four young men died on the spot in the accident. Two others were seriously injured, while one youth survived. Following the incident, people from nearby areas rushed to the scene and began rescue operations. Police arrived upon receiving information and, after considerable effort, pulled the bodies and injured from the car. The injured were immediately hospitalized.


Tragic accident: Scorpio carrying youths returning from a wedding ceremony hits a tree, 4 dead; 2 critical: According to the police, all the youths were residents of different villages of Rohtak district and were returning from village Bhavad after attending a ceremony. The deceased have been identified as Golu, resident of village Ghuskani, Akush son of Jaipal, Deepak and Sahil son of Satbir, residents of village Khidwali. The age of all four is said to be between 25 to 28 years. Among them, Golu was married, while the other three youths were unmarried.


Ankit, son of Raj Kishan, and Sagar, son of Daya Kishan, were seriously injured in the accident. Both have been admitted to Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Khanpur, for treatment, where their condition remains critical. A team of doctors is monitoring them closely. Mohit, son of Ashok (village Khidwali), sustained minor injuries and is reported to be safe.


According to reports, all the young men were travelling in a black Scorpio with registration number HR-98B-9988. The accident occurred on the Ghadwal to Bhavad road, where the vehicle lost control and struck a tree. Police have taken the damaged vehicle into custody and launched an investigation. The bodies of the four deceased have been sent for postmortem examination.


As news of this tragic accident spread, a wave of grief swept through the villages of Khidwali, Ghuskani, and surrounding areas. Family members rushed to the hospital in tears. Police are investigating the matter.
