Worship Laddu Gopal on Monthly Krishna Janmashtami for Prosperity and Peace
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Krishna Paksha Saptami of the Margashirsha month will begin at 12:07 a.m. on September 11 and end at 11:08 p.m., after which the Ashtami Tithi will commence. On this day, the Sun will be in Libra and the Moon in Cancer. According to the Drik Panchang, the Abhijit Muhurat will last from 11:43 a.m. to 12:27 p.m., while Rahu Kaal will be from 2:47 p.m. to 4:08 p.m. Since the Ashtami Tithi will start after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the Monthly Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on this day.
According to religious scriptures, Monthly Krishna Janmashtami is observed every month on the Ashtami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha. Lord Krishna was born on the Ashtami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada. Hence, devotees celebrate this day every month as Krishna Janmashtami. It is believed that performing proper rituals and worshipping Bal Gopal (infant form of Lord Krishna) on this day brings fame, wealth, happiness, prosperity, and children’s well-being, while also eradicating sins and leading to salvation.
On Tuesday, devotees observing the fast should wake up early, perform daily rituals, and take a holy bath. After wearing clean clothes, they should clean the temple or worship area. In the home temple, place the idol of Laddu Gopal on a clean plate over a small platform (chowki). Fill a right-handed conch (Dakshinavarti Shankh) with Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar) and bathe the idol. Dress Laddu Gopal in yellow clothes and adorn him with yellow flowers.
While chanting mantras and hymns, invoke Laddu Gopal and recite the mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.” Offer his favorite items such as tulsi mala, kheer, makhan (butter), mishri (sugar crystals), and fruits. Finally, light a desi ghee lamp in front of the idol, perform aarti, and complete the worship ritual.
It is believed that offering a peacock feather to Lord Krishna during the Monthly Krishna Janmashtami brings positive energy into the home, protecting family members from evil eyes and all kinds of negative influences.
