Yoga Movement Soars: Over 4 Lakh Organizations Unite for Yoga Sangam

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): The number of registrations for the Yoga Sangam program has created a new history. So far, more than 4 lakh registrations have been done for the main event of the 11th International Yoga Day, Yoga Sangam. This shows the success of India's traditional health systems and people's enthusiasm for yoga. Statistics show that such a large number of participants has never been seen in any event in the country before. On June 21, the whole world is going to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day.

Yoga Sangam, to be held on June 21, 2025 from 6:30 am to 7:45 am, is going to be the largest mass yoga event ever. People from every field, from IITs, IIMs, corporate companies, NGOs to common people, are joining this campaign. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, yoga will be performed simultaneously at lakhs of places across the country on June 21, which will be a historic moment in India's health sector. To make this day special, people across the country will do yoga together.

The biggest event will be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister of State for AYUSH and Health Prataprao Jadhav will personally participate. More than 5 lakh people will perform yoga together in this event. This year's theme is: "Yoga for One Earth, One Health", which gives the message that yoga is important not only for the body but for the health of the entire earth.

Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh are at the forefront in terms of registration for the Yoga Sangam program, where more than 1.38 lakh organizations have registered state-wise. More than 1 lakh registrations have been done in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, 26,159 organizations in Madhya Pradesh, 19,951 in Gujarat, 12 thousand organizations in Himachal Pradesh have registered to participate in the yoga program.
