Here's a simple recipe to get you started:
Ingredients:
- 2 green guavas
- 1 green pepper
- Turmeric powder
- Chili powder
- 1 spoonful of mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon ground asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon jaggery
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
Instructions:
1. Wash and dry the guavas, then chop them into small pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and green chilies.
3. Add the guava pieces and fry for a short time.
4. Mix in salt and jaggery, then cook on low flame until the jaggery melts.
5. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.
6. Add lemon juice and mix well.
7. Store the guava pickle in the refrigerator for up to 15 days.
