4-year-old child becomes a millionaire with ₹36 crore while playing

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): One can never predict when one's fortunes will turn. One such astonishing incident has emerged from England, where a four-year-old boy became a millionaire overnight. While digging, the child stumbled upon a royal treasure valued at approximately ₹36 crore (approximately $360 million USD). This discovery has stunned not only the child's family but also archaeologists.

Playing 'Treasure Hunt' with father

According to the incident, the child was playing with his father in the garden with a metal detector. They were jokingly playing a treasure hunt. Suddenly, the metal detector machine started beeping loudly. Upon receiving the signal, the father and son removed some soil from the area and found some old pieces of gold. Upon cleaning, they discovered it to be a beautiful and ancient gold locket.

500 years old, 73% pure gold

When this locket was scientifically examined, its historical significance was revealed. Experts confirmed that it is over 500 years old and may be linked to royal history. Lab testing revealed it to be 73 percent pure gold. Due to its antiquity and texture, its value has been estimated to be in the millions.

Treasure kept in British Museum, family gets reward

Under British law, the government has the right to such historical treasures found underground. Following the rules, the locket was handed over to the administration. After extensive investigation and evaluation, it has now been taken into custody by the prestigious British Museum. However, as treasure finders, the child and his family have been awarded full compensation (approximately ₹36 crore) in accordance with the locket's value.
