Punjab CM Mann Announces ₹1000 Monthly Aid for Women from Next Budget
Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a major relief for women in the state, declaring that they will start receiving ₹1000 per month from the next state budget. Mann made this announcement during an election roadshow in Tarn Taran, held in support of AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu.
Addressing the public gathering, CM Mann assured that this much-awaited promise made to women will be fulfilled soon. Listing his government’s achievements, he said, “We have already waived electricity bills, reduced school fees saving families nearly ₹5000 a month and provided jobs to youth. It is our responsibility to run Punjab efficiently. We had promised ₹1000 to our mothers and sisters, and that commitment will be honoured in the next budget. Every promise made for this five-year term will be fulfilled.”
Taking a swipe at Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, CM Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to fulfilling its guarantees and does not pay heed to opposition remarks.
