Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): A strong wave of enthusiasm is visible among the people of Tarn Taran Assembly constituency in support of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the by-election. In this regard, AAP Punjab’s State General Secretary and Chairman of Punjab Mandi Board, S. Harchand Singh Barsat, held a meeting in Tang Shatri Mohalla in support of AAP candidate S. Harmeet Singh Sandhu.

On this occasion, S. Barsat interacted with the people and gave detailed information about the pro-people works and achievements of the Punjab Government. He said that the love and enthusiasm of the people of Tarn Taran towards the Aam Aadmi Party make it evident that AAP’s victory in the Tarn Taran by-election is certain.

He said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has carried out exemplary works in every field during its three and a half years in office. Better services are being provided to the people in every sector, including health, education, employment, and sports. He said that Aam Aadmi Clinics have been established to ensure quality health facilities for all citizens.

Launching a sharp attack on the Akali Dal and Congress, S. Barsat said that while in power, these parties did nothing for the people and only worked to fulfill their personal interests. Now that the people have recognized their true faces, they are once again coming before the public with false promises.

He said that the Akali Dal has always misled people in the name of religion. Sukhbir Singh Badal misused power to expand his business empire and serve his personal interests, leaving the public to fend for themselves. On the other hand, the BJP-led central government continues to discriminate against Punjab. Nearly ₹8,500 crore of Punjab’s Rural Development Fund has been withheld, and no financial assistance has been provided for flood-affected areas. At the same time, the BJP is also trying to take control over Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is giving top priority to public welfare and the overall development of the state. Around 90% of Punjab’s households are being provided 600 units of free electricity. Youth are being given government jobs without any bribes or recommendations. Women are being provided free bus travel. Canal water is being supplied to the fields. A vigorous campaign is being run to make Punjab a drug-free state.

To encourage the youth towards sports, various sports tournaments are being organized, and new sports grounds are being developed. Alongside, renovation and repair work of rural link roads is also being carried out. He appealed to the people to ensure a resounding victory for the Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate, S. Harmeet Singh Sandhu, with a huge majority.
