Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Continuous heavy rainfall in Punjab and the adjoining hilly regions has resulted in the most devastating floods of the last five decades. This calamity has not only disrupted normal life but also left thousands of people homeless and helpless. While the administration is fully engaged in rescue and relief operations, social organizations and well-known personalities have also come forward to extend their support to the affected people.

In this effort, the Art of Living Jalandhar Chapter has taken on a major responsibility by deploying around 250 volunteers in relief work. These volunteers are reaching flood-hit villages and towns in and around Jalandhar, listening to the plight of affected residents, assessing their needs, consoling them, and at the same time providing essential supplies.

Medicines, tarpaulins, dry rations, and cattle fodder are being distributed to the villagers to address their immediate problems. Under the leadership of Siddhant Rana, Pritpal Singh, Aanchal Singh, Prince Juneja, Rohit Sharma, Kulwant Singh, and Zorawar Singh, other team members are actively distributing relief material. These teams are currently working in several affected areas, including Subhana, Lohara, Kukkad Pind, Abadpura, Pratappura, and Phoolpur.
