Hoshiarpur (The Uttam Hindu): Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna criticized the Indian National Congress over a protest staged by its youth wing during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, calling the incident condemnable and damaging to India’s image globally.

Khanna alleged that Youth Congress workers breached security arrangements at the summit venue and staged a shirtless protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the demonstration reflected what he described as the party’s “selfish politics” and disregard for national prestige.

Targeting Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Khanna claimed the protest was driven by political interests and took place at a time when global attention was focused on India due to the international summit.

He said opposition parties have the right to protest but should avoid actions that could harm the country’s reputation on the global stage. Khanna further alleged that the Congress has repeatedly placed political interests above national interests and urged its leadership to reflect on the issue.
