Two ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa terrorists arrested in Jalandhar, 2.5 kg RDX seized

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Police has achieved a major success ahead of the festive season. A counter-intelligence team in Jalandhar seized approximately 2.5 kilograms of RDX and arrested two individuals. The arrested suspects have been identified as Gurjinder Singh and Dewan Singh. Police also seized a remote device from them. Preliminary investigations suggest the explosives were prepared for a major terrorist attack.


Two ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa terrorists arrested in Jalandhar, 2.5 kg RDX seized; a remote also recovered : According to sources, the recovered RDX was transported to Punjab through a network linked to Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. Police believe that terrorist organizations were plotting to create unrest in the state during the festivals, but their plans were foiled in time by security agencies.


The investigation revealed that the arrested accused were linked to a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module operated by UK-based handlers Nishan and Adesh. These individuals reportedly received instructions from notorious BKI terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda.


Police have seized the RDX and remote control recovered from Jalandhar. Counterintelligence teams are trying to determine the locations in Punjab that the terrorists were targeting. A case has been registered at the SSOC police station in Amritsar under the UAPA and the Explosive Substances Act.
