Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab, schools in Jalandhar received bomb threat emails, triggering a high alert among police and security agencies. Soon after the information surfaced, security forces swung into action and launched search operations across sensitive locations. The threat was reportedly sent via email.

According to officials, the email warned of bomb blasts linked to PM Modi’s visit. The message was sent under the name “Billy Hall” and claimed that explosions would take place in three to four schools during the day. The sender mentioned respect for Guru Ravidas Ji but targeted PM Modi, referring to him as an enemy of Khalistan supporters.

The email further stated that Khalistani elements had no issue with Baba Niranjan Dass and that the matter was solely related to PM Modi. It also made references to revenge over the killing of Nijjar and named Dera Ballan as a target.

It is noteworthy that schools in Jalandhar are closed today due to a holiday on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Maharaj’s birth anniversary and the related procession. Meanwhile, due to heightened security concerns, police have not released the Prime Minister’s complete schedule.
