Declared Dead Twice, Found Alive at Burial Site – Doctor’s Negligence Shocks Ludhiana

 Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu)- A big negligence of the doctors of a private hospital has come to light in Ludhiana, Punjab. Where, the doctors declared a live newborn baby dead. When the family members were going to bury the child, they found out that the child was breathing.

The young man Ashu told that he got married a few years ago. His wife Payal was being treated in a private hospital. On Friday, when she started having labor pains, she was admitted to Medicity Health Care Center. Here the female doctor conducted the delivery, after which his wife gave birth to a boy. After this, the doctor told that the child was born dead, you can take him away. Ashu further alleged that the doctor declared the child dead and kept it in a tray. There was not even a cloth on the child. After this, the child was handed over to them. They went to bury the child. When they were preparing for the burial, they felt the child breathing. They immediately brought him back to Medicity Health Care Center, but the doctor declared him dead again. After which they again went to bury him. But, once again they felt the child breathing. This time they immediately took the child to the Civil Hospital, where the doctor checked him and he was breathing. After this, the doctors started his treatment. Ashu further told that the child died after about 40 minutes of treatment in the Civil Hospital. Ashu alleges that the doctor at Medicity Health Care Center declared the child dead, due to which time was wasted and his child died. If the doctor at Medicity Health Care Center had given the right treatment in time, his child's life could have been saved. After the child's death, the family members gathered at Medicity Health Care Center and created a ruckus accusing negligence in treatment.

Dr Simranpreet of Medicity Health Care Centre said that this delivery had taken place six months ago. The baby was premature. When the woman was brought to their hospital, the cervix had opened by then. Seeing the case to be serious, she was referred, but the family members refused to take her. The child was born dead. Police action is underway in the case.
