D.K. Singla takes charge as Deputy Director General of BIS Northern Region

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Mr. D.K. Singla, Scientist ‘F’, has taken charge as the new Deputy Director General of the Northern Regional Office of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).


The Northern Regional Office supervises branch offices in Dehradun, Faridabad, Parwanoo and Jammu and is responsible for standardisation, certification and quality control activities across northern India.


Mr. Singla has wide experience in the fields of standardisation, quality assurance and various technical and administrative roles within BIS. In his previous assignments, he held several key positions and contributed significantly to improving the organisation’s efficiency and effectiveness.


After assuming charge, Mr. Singla said that the Northern Regional Office would work towards further strengthening standardisation and certification processes. He also stated that the office will continue its efforts to ensure the availability of quality products for consumers and to promote awareness about quality standards.
