Events Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Guru
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is organizing a series of events to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. As part of these events, mesmerizing Light and Sound Shows were organized on Tuesday at Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Pathankot. The events witnessed a massive turnout of devotees along with the participation of Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, and local dignitaries.
A spokesperson of the government informed that Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond attended the show held at the Sports Stadium, Madhopur, Fatehgarh Sahib. Similarly, Defence Services Welfare, Freedom Fighters and Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat, along with Advisor to the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Deepak Bali, attended the show at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar.
At Pathankot’s Lamini Stadium, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchakk graced the occasion, while Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh attended the show organized at Polo Ground, Patiala. At all venues, the devotees deeply appreciated the initiative and watched the shows with reverence and devotion.
The Light and Sound Shows, using modern laser lights and 3D projection technology, vividly depicted the life, philosophy, teachings, and supreme martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who sacrificed his life to uphold the right to freedom of faith. The Punjab Government is organizing these shows across all 23 districts, which will continue till November 20.
