International Badminton stars felicitated at Ludhiana’s iconic Shastri Badminton Hall

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): International badminton stars H.S. Prannoy and Rohan Kapoor were felicitated today at the city’s iconic Shastri Badminton Hall by Shri M.K. Chopra, President, Ludhiana Badminton Academy, and Mr. Anupam Kumaria, Honorary Secretary.




Following the felicitation, Prannoy and Kapoor interacted with young shuttlers and shared valuable professional insights and training tips with the players being coached at the academy by international player and coach Mrs. Pradnya Gadre Chopra.


On the occasion, the Ludhiana Badminton Academy also awarded cash prizes to seven of its players who represented Punjab in the National Badminton Championships in their respective age categories, recently held at Odisha, Vadodara, and Bhagalpur. The awardees included:

 • Ananya Nijhawan

 • Amelia Bhakoo

 • Satvik Bhatia

 • Kaamil Sabharwal

 • Sanay Bhaskar

 • Madhav Jagga

 • Aanya Tiwari


The academy further felicitated Mr. Arun Dhand, Mr. Anupam Kumaria, and Mr. Anuj Dhand for representing India at the International Masters Championship held in Thailand.


The cash awards and mementos were presented by H.S. Prannoy and Rohan Kapoor. The event witnessed a large gathering of parents and players, who welcomed the international stars with thunderous applause.


Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Mr. Kuldeep Chugh (DSO), Mr. Sanjeev Sharma (National Athletics Coach), Mr. Hakam Singh (Coach), Mr. Pankaj Dutt (Coach), and other eminent personalities such as Dr. Ajit Chawla, Mr. Neeraj Jain (Vardhman Textiles), Mr. Sunil Sachdeva, Mr. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Tesinder Goyal, and Mr. Varinder Goyal.


Addressing the gathering, Shri M.K. Chopra emphasized that interactions with international players greatly inspire young athletes and significantly boost their morale. He reaffirmed the academy’s commitment to organizing more such events.
