LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation donates school bus to Jalandhar institution on Children's Day

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu):— Reaffirming its commitment to community development, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), through its Golden Jubilee Foundation donated a school bus to the Sarvhitkari Educational Society, Jalandhar on the occasion of Children’s Day.




The handover ceremony took place on the school premises in a simple yet dignified event. The bus was formally presented by Mr. Rajesh Vyas, Senior Divisional Manager, LIC of India in the presence of faculty members, students and representatives of the society.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vyas said LIC considers social service an integral part of its responsibility:

"LIC does not just deal in insurance, but considers it our responsibility to serve society. Through the Golden Jubilee Foundation, we have been continuously supporting initiatives related to education, health and social upliftment. We hope this bus will ensure convenient transportation for students and encourage them to attend school regularly."


The event was also attended by Mr. Luv Kumar Chugh (Marketing Manager), Mr. Munish Makhija (Manager, Sales), Mr. Ashwani Sharma (Manager, CLIA), Mr. Suyash K. Gupta (Senior Branch Manager, P&GS), Mr. Anil Dewan (Manager, Personnel), Mr. Anil Vaid (Product Manager), along with other LIC officials and representatives of the Sarvhitkari Educational Society.


Established on October 20, 2006, the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation has been actively supporting projects across India, ranging from the construction of hospitals, schools, libraries and computer centers to old-age homes and vocational training centers for persons with disabilities. The Foundation focuses on promoting education, healthcare, poverty relief and overall public welfare.


The donation of the school bus was widely appreciated by attendees marking another milestone in LIC’s ongoing efforts to uplift communities and support educational institutions.
