Punjab Congress MPs demand CBI probe into death of warehousing corporation manager G.S. Randhawa
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu) : Four Members of Parliament from Punjab—Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjit Singh Aujla, Charanjit Singh Channi, and Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi—met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah today to express grave concerns regarding the tragic death of G.S. Randhawa, a manager at the Warehousing Corporation.
During the meeting, the MPs jointly requested the Central Government to initiate a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged suicide through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). They emphasized that this case has raised numerous unanswered questions and has generated widespread anxiety among the public, particularly in Punjab.
Emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability, the delegation stated that only a CBI inquiry could ensure an impartial investigation free from any local influence or pressure. They also voiced the sentiments of the bereaved family and the general public, who are demanding justice and clarity in this matter.
The MPs urged the Home Minister to take immediate action in the interest of justice and to uphold public trust in the system. Amit Shah assured the delegation that their concerns would be given due consideration.
The Congress leaders reiterated that they stand in solidarity with the deceased's family and remain committed to bringing the truth behind this unfortunate incident to light as soon as possible.
