Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria paid obeisance at Khadur Sahib, lauds the initiatives of Nishane Sikhi Institute

Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib (Angitha Sahib Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji), Khadur Sahib, district Tarn Taran, and offered prayers for the welfare of all. On this sacred occasion, he was honoured with a siropa by the Gurdwara Management Committee.
Thereafter, the Governor visited Nishane Sikhi Institute, Khadur Sahib, where he was warmly welcomed by Kar Sewa Wale Baba Sewa Singh Ji. The Governor interacted with students undergoing coaching for competitive examinations such as UPSC and JEE, and appreciated their hard work, discipline and dedication towards achieving their goals.
Praising the efforts of Nishane Sikhi Institute, the Governor said that such institutions play a vital role in guiding the youth in the right direction and in making Punjab drug-free. He called upon religious, social and educational institutions to come forward and collectively contribute towards the welfare and positive development of the youth.
On the occasion, the Punjab Governor also planted a mango sapling in the premises of Nishane Sikhi Institute, conveying a strong message of environmental conservation and promotion of greenery.
