New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Cricket Australia (CA) has announced its squads for the upcoming ODI series and the first two T20 matches against India. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh will lead the team in both formats, while Pat Cummins, recovering from injury, has been rested for the tour.

Australia’s ODI Squad Highlights

The ODI squad includes several regular names like Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Alex Carey, and Adam Zampa, alongside rising talents such as Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, and Ben Dwarshuis. Notably, Aaron Hardie, Marnus Labuschagne, and Matthew Kuhnemann have been left out of the ODI squad.

CA has also selected Matthew Renshaw and Mitchell Owen with an eye on building a strong middle order ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Changes in the T20 Squad

Due to Sheffield Shield commitments, wicketkeeper Alex Carey will miss the first two T20 games, while Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out because of a wrist fracture.

According to selection committee chairman George Bailey, the T20 squad has been assembled with the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind. However, some players, including Cameron Green, will continue with Ashes and Sheffield Shield duties, and hence are not part of the T20 side.
