Team India Gets ₹579 Crore Boost as Apollo Tyres Signs Sponsorship Deal
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): The Indian cricket team has a new jersey sponsor as Apollo Tyres replaces Dream11. The partnership between Apollo Tyres and Team India is set to run until 2027, covering approximately 130 matches, including 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC fixtures.
Apollo Tyres secured the sponsorship rights with a bidding amount of ₹579 crore, beating competitors Canva (₹544 crore) and JK Cement (₹477 crore) in a competitive triangular bidding process.
The Gurgaon-based tyre company, with a presence in over 100 countries, will now feature its branding on Team India jerseys, marking a major investment in cricket sponsorship. The deal follows BCCI’s bidding regulations, which barred companies from gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco sectors from participating.
