Bihar govt's lavish abodes: 4 BHK duplexes with hi-tech amenities ready for 243 MLAs
Patna (The Uttam Hindu): After the results of the Bihar Assembly elections were announced, all eyes are now on the formation of the new government and cabinet. Meanwhile, in Patna, housing for all 243 newly elected MLAs is nearly ready. Of these, 62 bungalows were already built, while 181 duplex bungalows have been specially constructed.
4 BHK duplexes on Daroga Rai Path
These state-of-the-art bungalows were constructed by demolishing old buildings on Daroga Rai Path in Patna. Each duplex measures approximately 3,700 square feet and features 4 BHK amenities.
The structure of these bungalows has been designed to suit the needs of the MLAs. The ground floor houses a guest room, a PA room, an office room, and a kitchen. The first floor houses three bedrooms, including a master bedroom. The bungalow also has six restrooms and a guard room on the top floor.
To ensure that the MLAs do not face any inconvenience upon their arrival, all the rooms and dining halls are equipped with all the necessary furniture, including beds and sofas.
This time, a special arrangement has been made so that MLAs or the people of their constituencies will not have to struggle to find accommodation. The name and number of the respective assembly constituency have already been written outside each bungalow, which determines which MLA will live in which bungalow.
Hi-tech and eco-friendly facilities in the campus
Apart from bungalows, MLA hostel, canteen and community centre facilities have also been provided in this campus spread over a total of 44 acres. These bungalows have been made eco-friendly. A sewage treatment plant has been installed in the campus, from which water will be recycled and used for plantation. Arrangements have also been made for rainwater harvesting. LED street lights have been installed in the entire campus to save electricity. It has been made green by planting Champa, Gulmohar and Mahogany trees on the roadsides and in the common spaces.
