The Bihar Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has formally taken charge of the Dularchand Yadav murder case in Mokama. The investigation is being overseen by CID DIG Jayant Kant, who personally visited the scene and examined all aspects. Several police teams arrived at Basawan Chak, the site of the incident, on Saturday.
CID officials, along with the FSL team, searched the entire area. Sources said several important clues were found. Investigators also inspected the damaged vehicles involved in the incident. Forensic samples have been collected from these vehicles.
During the inspection of the crime scene at Mokama Lake, investigators recovered stones commonly used on railway tracks. Officials said such stones are not naturally found in Mokama Lake, raising questions about a possible foul play. Samples have been sent to the laboratory.
Initial claims suggested Dularchand Yadav was killed by a gunshot wound. He was also shot in the leg, but this was not the cause of death.
