Tragedy in Kochi: 5 Dead, including 3 kids, found in rented house
Kochi (The Uttam Hindu) : The discovery of the bodies of five people, including three innocent children, in a rented house in the Vaduthala area of the city has caused a sensation. Preliminary investigation suggests the case is a case of murder followed by suicide, although police are investigating every aspect.
According to police, the deceased include two women from Thiruvananthapuram, Kanaklatha and her daughter Aswathy. The three children found dead are believed to be Aswathy's. According to reports, the family had been living in a rented house in Vaduthala for the past few months and was undergoing treatment at a nearby private hospital.
Officials at the Ernakulam North police station stated that no activity had been observed in the house since March 20th. Suspicious, the homeowner went inside and found all five people dead. Police arrived at the scene, seized the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations suggest that the two women first killed their children and then committed suicide. However, police clarified that the actual cause will only be known after a detailed investigation and post-mortem report.
Police have registered a case and have begun contacting the families of the deceased. A thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances and possible causes behind this tragic incident.
