New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): ChatGPT maker OpenAI has announced a new feature for Indian users. The company is making ChatGPT Go available to all Indian users for free for one year. This limited-time promotional period will be available to users who sign up starting November 4th.

According to official information provided by the company, OpenAI is going to celebrate Dev-Day exchange event in Bengaluru on November 4. This is the company's first such event in India.

"The adoption and creativity we've seen from our users since launching ChatGPT Go has been incredibly inspiring. Ahead of our first Dev-Day Exchange event in India, we're making ChatGPT Go available for free for one year to help Indian users easily access and benefit from advanced AI," said Nick Turley, Vice President and Head of ChatGPT.

He further added that we are very excited to see what great things our users learn and create using these tools.

"ChatGPT Go" is a recently launched subscription-based service from OpenAI. With this paid service, users get access to popular ChatGPT features such as higher message limits, more image generation, more file and image uploads, and more storage.

ChatGPT Go was launched in India in August this year. The company specifically introduced this feature for users seeking affordable access to ChatGPT's most advanced features from OpenAI. With this launch, the company saw a significant increase in its paid subscribers. In the first month of the feature's launch, the number of paid ChatGPT subscribers in India nearly doubled.

In India, ChatGPT's second-largest and fastest-growing market, millions of people use this chatbot every day. From developers to professionals and students across the country, OpenAI's advanced tools are used to learn, solve problems, and unleash creativity.
