Petrol pump scandal: 1000L water tank filled with fuel, sparks online fury
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In today's digital age, everyone has a smartphone, and bizarre videos go viral on social media every day. Some of these videos are so shocking that they're hard to believe at first glance. One such spine-chilling video is rapidly going viral online, leaving people not only shocked but also terrified by the possibility of a major tragedy.
You must have often seen people filling petrol in their cars, bikes or any small container at the petrol pump, but have you ever seen someone filling petrol in a big plastic water tank kept on the roof? A similar horrifying scene can be seen in this viral video. It is clearly visible in the video that a person has reached the petrol pump with a 1000 litre water tank and the pump employee is continuously filling petrol in it. When the camera of the person making the video focuses on the meter of the petrol pump machine, it shows on the screen that 763 litres of petrol has been filled in the tank.
This shocking video was shared on the X platform by an account named '@WokePandemic'. The caption of the video expresses deep concern, writing that people are panic-buying petrol and diesel, but is it legal to fill a tank with thousands of litres of petrol like this at a petrol pump? Storing such large quantities of petrol openly could lead to a major and fatal fire. The exact time and location of this video is not yet known, but it has sparked a new debate on the internet.
After this video surfaced, social media users are enraged and questioning the petrol pump's gross negligence. One user commented, "This is completely illegal; no petrol pump should dispense fuel in this manner." Another user expressed concern that these people will store it and sell it in black later, which is absolutely unacceptable. People say that strict legal action should be taken immediately against such petrol pumps that flout the rules and against the people who take such risks.
