Satara (The Uttam Hindu): In Satara district of Maharashtra, the passion of making 'reels' on social media proved costly for some youths. Here, a 21-year-old youth, in the joy of buying a new car, blocked the traffic on the Pune-Kolhapur highway with his friends and started shooting videos with a drone. After the video went viral, the police took strict action and seized the young man's new car and drone and registered a case against five people, including a minor.

The highway was jammed for 15 minutes

This incident is being reported on July 10. According to the police, a 21-year-old youth named Om Jadhav had recently bought a new car. To make a reel in this happiness, he called his four friends with their vehicles. The five together parked their vehicles on an overbridge on the Pune-Kolhapur highway in such a way that the traffic stopped completely. They kept shooting videos with a drone for about 10 to 15 minutes, due to which long queues of vehicles formed on the highway and common people had to face a lot of trouble.

Action taken as soon as the video went viral

When the accused posted this reel on social media, it went viral rapidly. Taking cognizance of the video, Satara police took action on July 13. The police arrested all five accused, including a minor. The car of the main accused Om Jadhav and the drone used in making the video have also been seized.

Police appealed to the people and said, "We appeal to everyone to not do any such act which hurts anybody's sentiments or causes trouble to the common people in a public place, otherwise strict action will be taken."
