Iran warns US forces, threatens strikes on Dubai and Bahrain hotels
Iran warns that sites linked to US forces, including hotels in Dubai and Bahrain, could be targeted amid escalating conflict.
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The conflict in the Middle East continues to intensify as military tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel escalate further. Ongoing attacks from all sides have pushed the region into a highly volatile situation, raising fears of a wider conflict.
Amid this, Iran has issued a strong warning to hotel operators in Gulf countries, especially in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. It stated that any hotel accommodating US military personnel would be treated as a legitimate military target, signaling a significant escalation in its stance.
Reports suggest that US forces have increasingly used civilian facilities, including hotels and strategic locations to maintain their presence in the region. Iran has alleged that such practices amount to using civilian areas as shields and warned that action could be taken if this continues.
The warning is not limited to the Gulf with indications that similar measures could apply to other regions hosting foreign troops. With ongoing strikes, retaliatory attacks and tensions around key routes like the Strait of Hormuz, the situation remains critical and could have serious implications for global stability and energy supplies.
