New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has issued a final ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with the deadline set to expire today.
Trump warned that failure to comply could lead to strikes on key infrastructure, including bridges and power plants. He said such action could be carried out within hours if required.
He added that Iran has been given time until Tuesday evening (US time) to respond, stressing that accepting US conditions could quickly de-escalate the conflict.
