“We, not America, will decide when the war ends”: Iran hits back at Donald Trump.
Iran responds sharply to Donald Trump, saying Tehran—not the US—will decide when the war ends
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Iran has strongly reacted to recent remarks by Donald Trump over the ongoing tensions in the region, stating that Tehran—not United States—will determine when the conflict comes to an end. Iranian officials made it clear that decisions about the course and conclusion of the war will be taken by Iran itself.
In a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the present situation and future developments in the region depend on Iran’s military strength. The force emphasized that Iran will decide when and how the war ends and asserted that the US military has no authority to determine the outcome of the conflict.
Earlier, Trump had claimed that the confrontation with Iran would not last long, but warned that any attempt by Iran to disrupt global oil supplies could worsen the situation. Speaking to Republican leaders at his golf club near Miami, he said the United States had taken steps in the Middle East to deal with threats and expected the situation to remain brief. Shortly afterward, Trump also warned on social media that if Iran tried to block oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, the US would respond with a much stronger military strike, further intensifying tensions between the two sides.
