Government’s Major Move: ‘Operation Sindoor’ Victory Story to Be Included in Madrasa Curriculum
Dehradun (The Uttam Hindu): The Uttarakhand Madrasa Board has decided to include 'Operation Sindoor' in the intermediate level curriculum. The story of this heroic military operation will now be taught to the students, which will strengthen the feeling of patriotism in them. This is an inspirational step to understand the courage and sacrifice of the army, which will connect the students with national consciousness.
Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, chairman of Uttarakhand Madrasa Board, informed about this decision after meeting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. He said that Uttarakhand is the land of heroes and the children here are also imbued with the spirit of patriotism. We want the children of madrasas to also take inspiration from the stories of courage and sacrifice of the army. Operation Sindoor is one such example. He also informed that there are a total of 451 recognized madrasas in Uttarakhand, in which about 50,000 students study. In the coming time, a chapter related to 'Operation Sindoor' will be included in the new curriculum in all these institutions. Mufti Shamoon Qasmi said that a special curriculum committee will be formed to include 'Operation Sindoor' in the curriculum. This committee will include academicians, military historians and madrasa education experts. The committee will decide in which class, how and to what depth this subject will be taught. He also clarified that this decision is not political but inspired by educational and nationalistic sentiments. It is important to make children aware not only about religious education but also about the country's history, culture and spirit of dedication.
