Jaipur (The Uttam Hindu): A major espionage case has come to light from Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district, where a Pakistani spy has been arrested for sending sensitive information and visuals related to the Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

The accused, 40-year-old Pathan Khan, a resident of Karam Ki Dhani in Chandan village, was arrested from his farm near the Mohangarh canal area—close to the international border. Security agencies had been monitoring him closely following suspicious activities and frequent cross-border communications. Pathan Khan had been under surveillance after intelligence agencies flagged multiple suspicious phone calls received on his mobile over recent days. Acting swiftly, officials apprehended him at 3 AM two days ago. Following his arrest, he was transported to Jaipur on Thursday for further interrogation.

According to sources, Pathan Khan had deleted much of his mobile data, which is currently being recovered by forensic teams. Preliminary findings reveal that he had been regularly sharing sensitive photographs and information about army deployments and border security with Pakistan’s ISI. He had also visited Pakistan in 2019, and since then, maintained contact with enemy handlers across the border.

This arrest comes amid heightened alert following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Intelligence and security agencies are maintaining strict vigilance in all border areas, and are actively tracking every suspicious movement. Pathan Khan has been booked under the Official Secrets Act, and investigations are underway to uncover his local and cross-border network.
