Tree Falls on House During Storm, Kills Mother and 3 Children

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic accident took place amid strong winds in Delhi's Jafarpur Kalan area. A huge neem tree fell on a room built in the field here, causing the room to collapse. A woman and 3 innocent children present in the room died after being buried under the debris. The relief and rescue team that arrived after the information pulled everyone out of the debris, but on reaching the hospital, the doctors declared them dead. The treatment of another person is going on in the accident.

Tragic accident: House collapsed due to falling of tree amid heavy storm and rain, woman and her three children died and one injured : Police got information about this accident at 5:26 am, after which relief and rescue work was started immediately. Police and fire department team reached the spot and pulled out the people buried under the debris. All were taken to RTR Hospital located in Jafarpur Kala, but the doctors declared all four dead.

The deceased included 26-year-old Jyoti, her three children, two daughters and a son, all of whom died on the spot. At the time of the accident, the family was present in the tubewell room in the field, which collapsed under a tree that fell due to strong winds. The only surviving member of the family, Ajay Kushwaha, was injured in the accident. Ajay is the husband of the deceased Jyoti. Ajay was discharged from the hospital after first aid. Delhi Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.

Strong winds, heavy rain and hailstorm affected normal life in Delhi-NCR on Friday morning. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Delhi and has warned of thunderstorms, lightning and rain with a speed of 70-80 kmph in the next few hours.
