Bulandshahr (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, where a husband, fearing for his safety after alleged threats, agreed to let his wife go with her lover following a dispute.

Dispute began through social media

Rajkumar, a daily wage worker from Daulatpur village under Kotwali Dehat area, got married around seven years ago. According to reports, his wife came in contact with a युवक through social media, and the interaction gradually turned into a relationship. When the husband came to know about it, tensions began rising in the household.

Alleged threats escalated situation

Rajkumar alleged that when he opposed the relationship, his wife threatened him with serious consequences. He claimed that she warned him of harm, including a threat involving being put in a “blue drum,” which left him mentally distressed. Concerned for his safety, he approached the police.

Settlement in mediation cell

Police referred the matter to the women’s mediation cell, where both parties were called for counselling. During the session, the wife clearly expressed her desire to live with her lover. The lover was also present, and after discussions among all three parties, a mutual understanding was reached.

Eventually, Rajkumar and his family agreed to let the woman go with her partner. He stated that the decision was taken keeping his personal safety in mind.

Matter draws public attention

The incident has become a topic of discussion in the area. Experts say that in such cases, proper communication, legal guidance and counselling are essential to ensure that no party suffers harm.
